IUR – Chair of International Accounting

The Chair of International Accounting has been established under the direction of Prof. Dr. Peter Kajüter in 2006. Together with three other chairs, it forms the Accounting Center Münster.

The Chair covers a broad range of topics. In both research and teaching, it deals with international issues in financial reporting as well as management accounting. Thereby, the Chair of International Accounting addresses not only the ever-increasing relevance of globalization but also the multifaceted interconnections between financial and management accounting. Furthermore, Prof. Kajüter and his team provide significant support for enabling students to grow personally and professionally. This does include the student development program AccountingTalents as well as multiple initiatives with respect to IUR Case Competitions. Team members of the Chair also initiated the foundation of the University of Münster Case Club.

As a consulting company, educator and mediator between different worlds Semler Company advises and qualifies enterprises and SMEs for their digital transformation efforts.  Knowledge, mindfulness and pragmatism and a focus on what our customer really need is all equally important in our advisory work. What our clients need varies widely. This variety is our challenge, which we meet with curiosity and enthusiasm.

This is also true for our second pillar in addition to consulting, our training platform Semler Company Campus.  There, we offer content and methods to work well in the digital age, ranging from digital topics to social skills. We also provide space for discovery, for example in our day-long trial courses on digital topics and skills.

With our Case Challenge, we aim to organize an event assembling a unique group of business talents. We want to connect students from all over the world and challenge their ability to solve real-life problems. However, like our participating teams, we know one thing for sure: Teamwork matters – we need strong partners to accomplish our mission! Therefore, we always look out for sponsors willing to help our event come to life.
