MEET THE TEAMS

NORTH AMERICA

JOHN MOLSON SCHOOL OF BUSINESS

JMSB was established in 1074 by the Concordia University and has around 9,000 enrolled students. It is named after entrepreneur John Molson, who founded North America's oldest brewery in 1786. The well-known John Molson MBA International Case Competition is organized annually by its MBA students.

BARNA MANAGEMENT SCHOOL

Established in 1999, Barna Management School is located in the city of Santo Domingo, capital of the Dominican Republic. About 250 students are enrolled, who represent the values wisdom, dedication and commitment. Their motto: To transform Dominican and Carribean business thinking.

UNIVERSIDAD PANAMERICANA

Founded by a group of businessmen and academics as a business school in 1967, the UP became known under its current name in 1978. Nowadays, around 16,000 students are enrolled at UP. The university's motto is Ubi spiritus, libertas (Where the spirit is, there is freedom).

ASIA

AMERICAN UNIVERSITY OF BEIRUT

Founded in 1866 by Dr. Daniel Bliss, a Christian missionary, the AUB has around 9,000 students enrolled today and is one of the most important universites in the region. In 1945, nineteen former students were delegates to the signing of the United Nations Charter, more delegates than any other university.

CHULALONGKORN UNIVERSITY

Named in honor of his father King Chulalongkorn (Rama V), the CU was established by King Vajiravudh (Rama VI( in 1917. Today, around 39,000 students are enrolled at CU. Its symbol is the Phra Kiao, a headgear traditionally worn by young princes and princesses.

NANYANG TECHNOLOGICAL UNIVERSITY

Formerly known as Nanyang Technological Institute, the university was founded on science and technology and aims to create leaders through its broad education in diverse disciplines. Over 33.000 students are enrolled.

EUROPE

COPENHAGEN BUSINESS SCHOOL

As one of the largest business schools in the world, CBS has about 20.000 enrolled students, of which nearly 20% are internationals. More than half of the faculty is recruited from abroad, creating a very international environment. The renowned CBS case competition is hosted annually in Copenhagen.

DUBLIN INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY

Located in the heart of Ireland’s capital city, DIT educates students from 60 different countries worldwide. Arnold Felix Graves founded the first of DIT’s predecessor colleges, the City of Dublin Technical Schools, in 1887. The university is referred to as ‘Institiúid Teicneolaíochta Bhaile Atha Cliath’ in Irish.

UNIVERSIDAD DE NAVARRA

Established in 1952 by St. Josemariá Escrivá, founder of Opus Dei, the university has around 12,000 enrolled students today. Its main campuses are located in Pamplona and San Sebastián - the former being famous for the annual Running of the Bulls ("encierro").

UNIVERSITY OF MÜNSTER

The city of Münster, named after the monastery around which it grew, is shaped largely by its 45,000 students - and their bicycles. With almost twice as many registered bicycles as residents, Münster became known as Germany's Bicycle Capital.

HEINRICH HEINE UNIVERSITY DÜSSELDORF

HHU was founded in 1965 as the successor to Düsseldorf’s Medical Academy of 1907. The university offers more than 50 different undergraduate and graduate study programmes at five different faculties. Since 1965 it has grown into an international and innovative campus university, with even the Queen stopping for a visit in 2004.

ROTTERDAM SCHOOL OF MANAGEMENT

As one of Europe’s largest business schools, RSM has an expansive international audience of future and current leaders. The framework of the values of RSM are the United Nations’ 17 Sustainable Development Goals. Thanks to RSM, Rotterdam is home to a diverse student body.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Your next deadline is currently 19th Oct. You will need to mail us your filled out registration forms, team pictures for the brochure and your t-shirt sizes.

The email containing the necessary documents should have reached you a few days ago. If you have not received this mail, please contact us!

All participants must be enrolled in the participating university’s undergraduate or graduate program as a full-time or part-time student during the Case Challenge. Any change in the composition of a team is prohibited after the start of the first preliminary round. Between the submission of the memoranda and the start of the preliminary rounds, a team member may be substituted in case of special circumstances. These are to be described by the team coach in writing to the Head of External Affairs.

The registration fee covers registration for a team of four students and a faculty advisor, accommodation for 4 nights in the ÜBERWASSERHOF MÜNSTER, social activities, and the majority of meals during the competition. Transportation to and from Münster is not included.

We will need information on the composition of your team shortly and will be contacting you soon. 

Hotels have been booked for you, and rooms have been assigned to you by gender. Rooms will be shared amongst teammates! Should you have further questions regarding the arrangements please don’t hesitate to contact us!

Detailed information can be found in our Rule Book. Teams will bring their own Laptops and are limited to 1 GB of broadband internet a day. They are however barred from external communication. 

Teams will prepare two three-hour cases and one four-hour case. Detailed information can be found in the Rule Book!
